Hi! My name is Savanna Johnson, I am a Native American (Yaqui, Mayo, Potawatomi) and Spanish photographer, videographer, and ranch hand from Ventura County, CA. I began documenting my adventures in 2013, when I fell in love with the outdoors on my first hunting trip with my grandfather. Fascination and deep appreciation of the Land inspired my art. Over the years I have explored landscape, wildlife, surf, western lifestyle, and portrait photography. I enjoy creating images from all that I find beauty in, across all genres of photography, but my heart is heavily drawn to the two things that I have always revered most: the western lifestyle, and Indigenous culture.

I have been involved in Native American activism since my teen years and use my art to reconnect with my heritage, and share the beauty and resilience that is the Original People. I plan to continue this moving forward, and am particularly grateful for opportunities in this niche!

I have also filmed and photographed concerts, fashion shows, BTS, couples portraits, maternity, in-studio fashion, lifestyle, and products for a wide range of companies.

Enjoy my website and please don’t hesitate to reach out! I would love to help capture any of your visual needs. 🦋

Let’s work together
